I am an associate marriage and family therapist and substance abuse counselor.
I specialize in working with different modalities in treatment that is tailored and fits what you may be looking for. I practice EMDR, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, DBT and Motivational Interviewing with my clients, among other theories. No single modality fits all, and I try to work with what suits you best. My expertise is in substance use disorders; I have been a counselor for 17 years and am now transitioning into Marriage and Family Therapy. I am compassionate and passionate about working with individuals who want to make a change in their lives and become a better version of themselves to prosper and overcome their trauma. Whatever you have experienced in your life should never be dismissed; trauma is trauma, and no single trauma is greater than another for the person who experienced it. It should be neither too small nor minimized. We all have different experiences, and I will try to meet you where you are. I can help with anything within my scope, and will refer you to a colleague if needed. I believe in faith based and spiritual counseling as well as trying what works for you if you are willing to put in the work required to make that change.
